Information

To receive a visa, anyone wanting to come to the UK to live, study or work needs to prove their ability in English. Depending on why you are coming and what you need English for, you will need to take and pass an English Test.

Secure English Language Test

SELT is a government approved test which people can take either in the UK or from outside the UK. There are a few different test formats and providers, such as Trinity and Languagecert. The test is different depending on why you need English.

  • Temporary Work – International Agreement (private servants in a diplomatic household making applications for entry clearance)

For the following application routes, you will need to take a test that assesses your speaking and listening abilities:

  • citizenship
  • International Sports person

  • settlement (also known as indefinite leave to remain)”

Frobisher English SELT / ISE Preparation Course

Course Outline

4 Week Course – Total Online Study time = 15 hours

Week 1 x 4 hours Focus on speaking confidence, fluency, and understanding. Key vocabulary and expressions.
Week 2 x 4 hours Focus on improving listening and natural answers to questions.

Week 3 x 4 hours Needs based week. Depending on which test you are are taking (SELT A1/A2/B1 etc / ISE B1 level) you will work on further speaking and vocabulary development, reading and comprehension / writing skills.

Week 4 x 3 hours The final week will help you prepare and practice before you take the SELT / ISE tes

Cost

1:1 An intensive online course for one student with regular support, homework, marking, assistance and advice. £300 for 15 hours online teaching

2:1 An online course for 2 students and a personal teacher with regular support, homework, marking, assistance and advice
£255 per student

3-6 students in the online class: A group class for between 3 to 6 students. Additional homework and support as required.
£210 per student

*** Note *** Every student will have the opportunity of a free, no obligation 15 minutes Zoom call. This is a chance to meet your teacher, to ask questions and for the teacher to assess your level so that he can help you in the best way.
